Then attempt was made again for aBOUT THE 4TH YEAR IN A ROW TO MAKE IT DOWN TO tHADS SHIN DIG AND JUST LIKE ALL THE PREVIOUS YEARS LIFE HAD TO GET IN THE WAY.
tHINGS WERE MOVING ALONG AS PLANNED THEN MY LEGS HAD TIO SEND ME TO THE HORSEPITAL AND THE FURNACE HAD TO GO DOWN IN THE HOUSE TO THE TUNE OF $7,000
I finally get all my equipment in shape and turned over to him and collected my last $13,000 check and the furnace says uh ah , no no you only got $7,000 to live on now till you turn 62 in april.
Good thing he turned around and offered me a $36 an hour job and I told him I would till Thad's shin dig started. Worked 3 days now leg is harder than and rock hurts like hell and when I pulled away from my house with my old service truck with a brand new looking trencher on board the truck breaks down 50 feet from my house.
i CAME FREAKING UNGLUDED. THERE WAS NO WAY ANYBODY COULD POSSIBLY HAVE THAT MUCH BAD LUCK / THERES JUST NO WAY. AND WHEN THE WIFE STEPPED FORWAR4D LIKE SHES AN EXPERT IN THE FIELD AND SAYS ITS ALL JUST A COINCIDENCE, i LIT INTO HER TOO.
So now it's just me here living the dream or what's left of it anyway. Sorry Thad. Don't look like this year either. I'm bout ready to move to town.

I still gots my A/C but it's clear out in the barn now.

Les, life has a way of seating us all down at times. Been through it a plenty.
The good Lord loves you the same as he does anyone.
Keep digging and work hard to keep faith.
I’m having leg problems and plantar fasciitis as we speak. I’ve worked every day for the past two months and my feet n legs are barely keeping me going.
I plan to see you next year my friend.

Les, you gotta look on the bright side.... You CAN complain !! You can 'B' all you want here, I don't mind, venting is good for the soul....better be since I sold next door ...)
Some aren't so lucky. Friend's brother just passed, he was 57 ( 10 younger than me), last month 2 guys I chummed with, went 6 feet under( early 50s)...... I'm trying to be more 'duckluck', try to let 'stuff' roll off my back....

Les,,,,I'm here to tell you,,,that you are going to be OK,,,,OK?? Most people I know at some times of their lives go thru these cycles of seemingly endless roadblocks that make you think the whole friggin world is agin you,,,,
I,,myself am just gettin thru this cycle and as most of my friends on this forum can attest,,I have certainly had more than my share of seemingly endless health issues on my wife of 52 years,,,plus my old wore out body with it's share of troubles,,,,BUT,,,Les,,,I sure as chittin am NOT about to give in cause life is SOOOooo valuable,,,,!!!! The lure of what tamarrow might bring is just soo great to miss out on,,,,ain't it,,??
I want you to start feeling the same way, cause what cannot get done today will get done tamarrow or even the next day ,,CHIT even next week will work

I thought about this all night.
I think Les needs this trip to Arkansas to hang with the boys more than ever.

Les, if God didn't give us mountains to climb every now and then we would not get stronger and appreciate the smooth roads in front of us. Life can be a bummer at times but look to the brighter future you have in front of you. We need to praise our LORD in the good times and the bad (hard lesson for me to learn). At one time I was at rock bottom but God brought me out and life has been wonderful. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock and established my goings. Psalm 40:2
The foremost thing to do right now other than turn all this over to God is to apologize to your wife and get things right with her. The rest of these things won't matter in the long run.
Take care of yourself both emotionally and physically. Sound like a trip to Thad's is in order.

HI Les!! Haven't heard any "Thoughts from the Pot" in a LONG time,,,,and just haven't heard from you in forever!! GOOD to hear from you!! Even if it is some bad news. Just remember, it could be worse, and it is for a lot of people right now. I agree with Hubert, tell the witch,,,,er the little woman/nurse that you were having a BAD day and want her forgiveness. Maybe have a little flower behind your back.... Heck, just wait till you're really retired.....EVERYTHING goes wrong, most of the time. I feel for ya and hope it'll all get better real soon. Hey Les, the first thing to remember is that you are still looking at the green side of the turf. No matter how bad the storm or hurricane, it doesn't take long till the sun shines again. Like Ted days, go get a flower or two and then go tell the Mrs. that you've had a rough time lately, but you need her help getting through this tough time. Keep your chin up and take some comfort from the knowledge that we all go through times like this. Take a deep breath, relax, and remember that it will get better. And know that we all have your back. Hang in there buddy.

An Rusty was pretty dang close on his sayin... I been tryin
to get the old barn haymow floor straightened up from 100+ years of
use, the mow floor joist are kinda saggin and the mow side had a water
tank up there from??/ till about 1963 and got a mishmash of boards for a
floor in that area and then the old hay hole in the NW corner had no
support at a stairway door for 2 joist distance so been trying to straighten
it all before I bale some square 2nd crop and stack it in there.... ...So I was back down stairs putting
jacks in under a floor joist to pick up the old mow floor enough to put
in a sister joist or rather one in between... yea, trying to keep the
pipe/support above the jack lined up and looked down to see about toeing the
handle to tighten up assembly an bing...I gots rung in the noggin with
the plate of steel from over the end of the pipe. Gots a bump tonight. mmm, was thinkn I might hafta chip in a Lincoln or a Hamilton to add to the
pile too... Les might have enough gas money to get a couple miles down
the road.  Les, you take care of yourself there.

AND JUST LIKE THE MAN WHO SHOWED UP AT MY DOORSTEP 19 YEARS AGO WHO DIDN'T KNOW ME FROM, ADAM, AND HANDED ME THAT BLANK CHECK THAT I CALL A MIRACLE, IT HAPPENED AGAIN.
Two fellas are gonna tackle that F550 repair while I nurse that leg back to health on the sofa. Between you guys and the two fellas that came to my aid has restored my faith in God and man. It just doesnt get any betrter than this.
