Good morning all,
I have a question about a bent push rod.  The engine was restored a few years ago and after about 50 hours of light use, I notice a ticking and occational pop out of the exhaust.  I had a bent push rod and valve.  I replaced the valve, guide, and rod and now again I have a bent rod.  The valve is fine with no unusual wear.  What would be the possible problems?

Are you sure your replacement pushrod was straight? Any slight bend could get worse quickly, also excesive clearance  (rocker arm adjustment) posibly could cause it .

Or a badly worn rocker arm assembly? Two years after overhaul my B turned into a three cylinder. A push rod had come up along side the rocker. Rocker assembly was worn out. Replaced the assembly and all is well.
