The vickers is a vane pump and was used on the early units - the problem is finding the matching drive plate to fit crank pulley on that pump .
I have a spare pump but the internals are scored so questionable, in my HD5 pile . I did pick up a Hydreco about 2 years back at Hutch but have not looked at it since - its somewhere in my pile of spare things - one of these days projects .
Finding a 32 GPM pump @ 1800 RPM presents somewhat a problem |

The hydraulic pump on my HD5B is much smaller than the pump on my HD6G.
Dave or Rob (800) 398 3448 wrights@adams.net had an hd5 pump last November when I bought parts from them. |

oops the 5G used the 32 GPM pump - on a B with only blade lift needed GPM is a lot less

Found a Prince Hydraulics 32 gpm pump on surpluscenter.com that I have decided to go with. Gear pump 2500 psi max. 32 gpm at 2000rpm for $389.00 will require some mount and coupling modifications. Appreciate the posts and info. Thank you all , David.

Are you considering a 1 3/8 six or 21 tooth PTO pump? The crankshaft drive would be easy. Please post the prince part number.

Prince part # SP25A63A9H2L is the number of pump were going to try. It will require fabricating/machining of pump mount bracket and a coupling modification. David.

Your SP25A63A9H2L pump is aluminum with O Ring Boss fittings. Get short lengths of ORB pump fittings on one end so that you can make the hose conversion at a convenient place under the rock guard.

Yep. Planning orb to jic37° fittings. Trying to figure best way to put some filtration in hydraulic system. Quite polluted. Sucked out bottom of my left tank with a tube extension. Lot of sludge/dirt. No access to right tank other than return and crossover. I know they had a factory option for filters but not sure where they plumbed in. David.

I suggest a short hose on each port of the pump because the pump is aluminum. You have a good chance of damaging the threads on the pump when it is attached to long difficult to align hose. The hose attachments to the pump are difficult because of the rigidity of the hose and the near by 90 degree bends. I have done this on my HD6G's. I am thankful for the remote connection whenever I have to deal with the hydraulics.
Good luck Post pictures |

Can cut a hand clean-out hole into tank near base and then make a new cover for it to bolt on, seen that done a few times. but requires drilling and tapping.

Did you check under the valve body for access to right tank ?

Yep but it looks like you have to remove valve assembly as it looks like that's where valve returns oil to tank. Thought about cutting clean out access too. Oh well more to do.

A screen filter on the intake as a filter of any other kind would restrict flow , and you could rinse the tanks through the top - yes the oil return is into right tank under valve body -
No good way to filter the return side - and high pressure filter is a real chore Flow pressure should be between 1200 and 1500 PSI - unsure if cylinder seals will stand much over that for extended time without heat buildup |
