What are these things worth.  Our company is having an internal auction for surplus equipment and opening bids are 200 & 250 respectfully.  Both are low hours and were run with a Ford 1720 compact!!

Paid around $500 for used 7 ft here in NE. I like them for light duty cutting.

Alamo is, I believe, top of the line or near it when it comes to mowers.   In general, flail mowers take more hp than rotary cutters and they can throw more stuff at you like rocks and debris so make sure you want one.

Are they mounted or boom, offset or behind?  I would guess that if it was used with a 1720 their 3-pt  type, directly behind, and they didn't do very tall grass with them.    With that assumption there are a few on tractorhouse listed in the $2,000-$2,500 hundred range.  I would say if their in good shape a good deal would be $1,500.   If you really want one and their in good shape maybe more than that.  As I said, Alamo is either top of the line or near it when it comes to these types of mowers.  Almost all county, township, etc. crews I've seen that mow roadsides use Alamo.
