I'm saw a Koehling C166 track hoe on Craigslist with an AC 2900MKII engine.  I'm thinking it must be a repower as all I can find for them are 4-53 Detroits as power units.
Any idea what the whole rig weights?  It's about 275 miles away.

I know the bigger Bantam Koerings had the option of the A-C power, hadn't heard of the 166, of course it would not be hard to put in. The weight of the 166 would probably be around the 38 to 40 thousand lbs range. I've owned several 266's but never a 166 yet, very good machines though!
Currently- WD,WC,3WF's,2 D14's B. Previously- I 600,TL745,200,FL9,FR12,H3,816 LBH. Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal!

I watched it on CL for a week, then it was gone.  He was asking $5500 for it which seemed reasonable to me.  Looked pretty good, not all beat up.  My problem was it was much heaver then my Miller 20,000 tilt trailer would safely haul, plus I'd have to have it hauled over the hill from western Colorado, at least a $1,000 job anymore.  I'd like to find something in the lower 20,000 range but with a decent capacity.
