a 9 shank ripper on a 2 wheel transport pulled behind a 4x4 tractor! tractor had a 3 pt hitch too! sure sat back away from the tractor aways. must work!

That's the way we rip. Works better with a dolly when the hired help is running it. When you hit a hard spot the tractor spins and sinks then the ripper is deeper and then you pick up on the draft control and the tractor comes out of the holes it dug and the ripper is out of the ground! And it's easier on the rear end of the tractor!

That's how it's done here also. Most farms use either a Eco tiger or stinger tiger for a ripper a 9 shank wieghts around 9,000 lbs. only one of our articulating tractors has a Three point. The only thing I've used the three point for is moving one bale at a time when it was to soft to get in to the hay stack with anything else.
