   Thinking of getting a 3-point adapter for my D 15 to use with a bush hog and boom pole. I plan to purchase from one of the vendors that support this Forum. What are your opinions on the best for the money? Thanks in advance.

	I have a D15I SC with the older style (Cross I believe) adaptor that came on it. This is the type that bolts on the tractor utilizing the lower bail carrier bolts so when it's on, no quick swapping to use the SC bell for anything. I have looked at the aftermarket adaptors over the years and most mount to the side of the drawbar bail so you can keep everything in-place. For me, the OEM adaptors are the best bang for the buck and I use an aluminum bread cart I picked up at an old country store years ago. With either hitch installed, push cart under tractor, drop one hitch and install the other in just a couple minutes and sure saves the back. Whatever hitch is removed is stored on the cart and wheeled into a corner for storage. Figured I should grab any OEM adaptor I could find years ago as they were cheap as not many non A-C folks knew what they were, plus I figured they would wear out fairly quickly. Still using the first unit I picked up (on the Series II units) and it has held up surprisingly well on both the A-C 5' heavy cutter, and the 6' Bush Hog brand I use most. They seem to run 150.00 - 300.00 for the adjustable type and about the same for the heavier "fixed" version that you can leave on the 3-pt. equipment. I seeded this fall with the fixed adaptor/D15II on a 8' Brillion Tucker Mulcher and used the same hitch on the D19D before selling it. At 1300#, the D15II knows it's there but handles it great.

	My recommendation is to get one of the factory type "wishbone" ones. The ones that bolt onto the bottom of the trans and lift housings and only attach by those 4 bolts are prone to the bolts working loose with heavy use (such as a brush hog). Then after that ruins those 4 bolt holes you'll be looking for replacement housings. For all the naysayers; yes he will need to also find the factory sway control and toplink bracket. Also that leaves the tractor able to hitch to factory Snap-Coupler equipment easily. If you must have a 3pt on a AC tractor you should find a D17IV or newer tractor. anything earlier is weak at best. As Tim has mentioned; grab everyone you can find and have one on each piece of 3pt equipment that you use.
	If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere. Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY
