Does anyone know if a better gear reduction style starter is available somewhere for the 180/190 gas motors?

I don't know, but am curious why you're looking for one. I run a 190 and an XT gas and they both turn the engine over good.

Mine is in need of a new starter, and if there is a newer reduction style available I'd like to go to that. I have updated most of my 301 diesels to the later starter like the 8010 runs, and I love how they start.

Take one of the new style starters off your other 301s and put it on the gasser. I think they will work on your gasser. MACK
