    Posted: 30 Oct 2016 at 10:10pm
Bearings were installed today.  However, we did not have time to install the cylinder into the combine.  So, here are the updated pictures.  I did not write down bearing #'s.  Hoped that they would show clearly in pictures.  Post #'s tomorrow.  A rather large "slug" was run thru the combine by PO and bent cylinder cover, so we removed to straighten.  You do not have to.  We also had to make our own shims, not sure how/why you lose them.

Beans were combined Saturday Patrick. Big problem with Photobucket last night, took 3 1/2 to get pictures on. That is also why you are seeing doubles and maybe triples and other pictures not posted. If anyone wants the bearing numbers PM either me or Ryan, they are available by bearing distributors every where (not rare).

Cool! So when I have to pull mine one of these days, what are the steps to get everything off on the drive end? Sure seems like a tight spot to try to do much.
Thanks

Creston, not hard at all. Not as tight as it looks, just have a buddy help slide the cylinder out and carry it to your saw horses or tailgate. Helps to have a lot of emory cloth and like standing in the same spot for several hours.

PS Creston, Allis engineers were great at their jobs. They knew that the cylinders had to be removed, maybe several times over the combines life. So, they made removing them as easy as possible.
