Rebuilt carb but fuel continues to leak past rubber tipped needle/ seat into the choke intake. Read on some of the post that a non rubber tipped needles work better. Where can I purchase?

If the needle valve is clean, check float for leakage and float setting. To check needle valve, hook fuel to the top of carb only and lift the float.

Also, fuel must be clean, any small rust particles in fuel may cause needle to leak.
I’ve seen this on carbs I rebuilt for people and they say they still leak, so I have them bring tractor over, and needle has rust particles on it. Gas tank needed cleaning and possibly an in-line filter.
May not be your problem, but something to check.

I did empty out the fuel tank and put in some engineered fuel and flushed. I'll try the in- line filter too. Thanks

Is seat screwed in tight? Some times a new float will drag the sides of bowl. MACK

The new Viton needles do a great job in seating. The problem with them is if you have debris in the tank or in the inlet of the Carb (where the elbow screws in) that debris will almost always stick to the Viton needle. Remove the 90 degree elbow from the Carburetor and run a bore brush on a hand drill in and out of that cavity to get all the rust and debris out. Make it shine in there. That is a BIG problem child right there! Steve@B&B
