brand and model of skid steer do all of you have and why did you choose it. Just curious.

If you choose not to decide you still have made a choice.

I owned 1 Bobcat 610 and 3 Gehl. From a 4400,4610 to a 4625. I currently have a Kubota M7060 Utility Tractor that fits my needs better than a Skid Steer.

I have a kubota slv75(wheel) that i bought from a dairy that maintains its equipment. 5000 hours and i had to replace the injectors. Bought it as a comprise to turning 60 and the kid going off to college. Got dirt bucket, manure forks and round bale grabber. Its not great in the mud but dealer is helpful so far (no major issues) seems easy enough to perform routine service. Tracks would probably be better but not 70k better

We have a Gehl 3825 here. Uncle bought it at consignment auction. Must have been cheap if he bought it. It's been a good machine though it is getting much harder to start. Will lift more than it can safely carry so lifting round bales in to the feeder will get me puckered up. I like it because of the T handle control but considering a bigger one

Have used a Melroe Bobcat 500, 600, and 610. Case 1845(?). All gasoline engine. Much preferred the Melroe 600. I liked the foot control for the hydraulic, I know many don’t, but that’s me.

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

I have a John Deere 240 I like it a lot. The only downside is it doesn't reach to the center of our tandem spreader when loading it, so it depends on the consistency of the manure how full the spreader gets. Neighbor has a bobcat s205, driven that and like it, has the Kubota motor. A few people around have newer Kubota's and seem to like them. Another friend runs JCBs they like the side door, and they have 1 teleskid. Good machine if that's what you need but a few more moving parts to wear out. Are you looking for new, late model used or something a little older.

Have a Bobcat S 175, just for snow removal and little yard work. Live 15 miles from factory plus bought used with 300 hours, that is why I got it. Has a Kubota diesel.

best skid I had was 785 New Holland - Now have LX 665 New Holland I bought with 800 hours - just wish it was 2 speed
Way back had a JD was suppose to be similar to 785 NH but worthless in soft ground and out of balance junk Also have a A 300 Bobcat - but crab steering control lever has a problem sometimes - only want $1200 for new control lever and more for new control board to fix . |

Seems most of the NEW machines are all computer controlled now somehow and when looks up machines it's the most common problem with bad boards , bad sensors , poor running - some electrical bug creating the problem and shops and special program reader needed to fix .

I also have a New Holland L228 it's 75 hp and can be switch between H or IOS, has high flow hyd, two speed, what I like the most is it reach and will lift a lot more than it rate for, the one thing that I wish it had is tracks instead of tires, I bought from the closest Agco dealer who was a Allis dealer and they have been good to me. I've run case, bobcat and deere and I like my L228 just as good as the rest. I think the biggest difference is the price in them.

2000 Case 1845C and 2016 Kubota SVL75-2 here. In dirt there's no comparison. The Kubota on tracks runs circles around the Case. The Case has been very reliable after the start relay was bypassed. This relay is a common problem in the 1845's and I think 1840's. Only reason I bought the Kubota was it was a machine with 67 hours for about half price of new. Only thing I wish was different with it is high flow hydraulics.

I have a Bobcat T76, track machine, full cab, joystick control,(cause my size 15 shoes and stiff ankles dont dance to foot controls), 2 speed, hi flow hydraulics on demand and cushioned lift for carrying heavy loads over rough terrain. When I was looking I tried a used Cat and it was a low hour basket case so sent it back and did a demo on a new T76 and it never left the farm. They often times run a zero percent finance and with the warranty I figured that was the way to go. Service goes a long ways, if I need a part, he delivers, it had a computer glitch early on and he picked it up and delivered back no charge. His and the Bobcat reputation has sold 8 machines of various sizes and age in my immediate neighborhood within the last 4 years. The T76 is 74hp so no def. There is a chip out there to give it 20hp more that I plan to add soon cause sometimes it could use a boost. My loader tractor never sat for more than a day till this showed up and now it may sit for weeks on end.

I still own my 785, 3 cylinder Ford, starts in any weather, love it. Have driven every brand, the only thing better on the modern machines is the big tracked ones will cut and push any thing.

I treat my C238 New Holland like a dozer and its been great for me. The tracks are a pain in the barnyard but feeding hay to cattle and cleaning fence lines, I wouldnt want to deal with a wheel machine.
