So last fall when I pulled for the last time something let loose in my left brake....well I finally got 10 free minutes to pull it apart and lo and behold I snapped the drum in 2 on my WC.....the WD45 is still in pieces so looks like it'll be a spectator sport this year.......

I did not know you just got married. If I just got married I wouldn't care if I went tractor pulling or not, but after 46 years she will help me fix the tractor so we can go tractor pulling.
Hope you can have as many and more happy years as we have had. MACK

Don't worry about the days Benny, worry about how short the nights are now. LOL I kind of know the feeling. I have been retired now for ten years and I don't have time to do anything I want anymore. Not enough hours in the day is right!!

One of the ways I've found to combat limited time, is to call up a buddy or two, and come up with a mutual 4 hour span of time when we can all gang up on a project at once... like an engine swap... set up everything that needs to be prepared... have everything there, and then we attack it as a team, and knock it out quick. Oftentimes, having two extra sets of hands will make a task like that go really fast... and if it means you put team-time to bring a machine back online, you've rapidly resolved an issue that yields long-term frustration, and done it with buddies.
My wife seems to tolerate it well... it doesn't happen often, but most wives will be satisfied to know that you're not hangin out in a bar, turnin' a pool cue and drinkin' beer... ...you're hangin' out in the barn, turning wrenches, and drinkin' beer... |
