I have a model B A-C tractor. The starter switch is located on the bottom of the starter. I recently had it serviced and the switch is now on top and I can no longer start it from the seat. How can I get the switch back to the bottom of the starter" Any directions would be appreciated. Thanks.

You SHOULD be able to undo the 2 long thru bolts in the carcass and rotate the nose cone thru 180 degrees to allow the solenoid to relocate on the opposite side. you will have to braw the carcass bolts out about an inch to do this, whille making sure the brush end cap does not move, then tap the nose cone off maybe 1/4 of an inch to dislocate it from the dowel peg, then rotate 180 dgress before tapping back on. This is assuming that you got your own, rebuilt starter back and it has 2 locating holes for the peg, and that you did not get an exchange unit that is pegged for the top mount solenoid.
