    Posted: 11 May 2011 at 2:23am
Hello,

Yesterday I stuck the decals on our U ( UM Engine ).
There are 2 decals wich we don't know where located.
It is a decal that says:

"Shields are for your protection keep them in place"
First I thought it was for the PTO guard but there is another decal in the set therefor.

The other decal I don't know:

- O I L on the back of the decal is written: Final drives

But I don't know where on the final drives?

Thanks.

The oil - is for a UC with the final drives .Sheild one I would say not for the tractor .I had a late model 1949 and you could still see all decals on it( was not repainted) ,there was none like that on the tractor I had .Where did the decal set come from .Even if it came from  wacker it dose not mean its for the tractor .Remeber there also is not a final drive on a U.
Most tractor with a shields sticker like that one ,has it where you can see it from the seat ?
I have a U parts book think it shows the decal set ,will check the few differant parts books i have tonight.

Tanks for your answer!

The set is from wacker, and indeed the OIL is for final drives. I thought it maybe must be placed somewere on the tubes.
There came also a "BE CAREFUL stop power take off before dismounting from tractor" with the set. This one I stuck under the on / of switch.
Then there was "Warning this guard must be in place before operating power take-off shaft" wich I stuck on the pto cap.

Thanks

I use Wacker's decals on my units. I think the set for a U has all the decals for any 'U' model of that period. Therefore there would be a few decals you would not need on the standard U.

The sets for the 'B' are similar. There are decals in there that you may not use depending what options you may have on your tractor.

"OIL" should go on final drives on lower inside by the plug hole.
Thanks

As I stated about the "OIL-" going on the final drives on UC ,they can also be used for the WC as they do final drives and not the U .
Got anymore pictures of your tractor .
