have an 8610 in the shop, just split for broken bell housing bolts. Tractor won't start on it's own. will start when electronic governor is overrided in the governor cover. We have four flashes on the right side cab piller throttle control panel. anyone know off hand what the four flashes mean.

Been a while since I worked on one of those,so I don't remember what the foor flash code means without looking in the service manual. That tractor has a sensor that screws into the bell housing at the top side. It senses the engine rotation from the flywheel teeth I believe. It has to be good and the clearance correct for the tractor to start.

it was the magnetic pickup on the flywheel, machine shop pulled it out to weld on the bell housing, then put it back in with no regard for where it was set. when the tech tried to start the tractor the flywheel grenaded the sensor.
