How many rows ? Might get by with a two or three row, any bigger probably would knock over the stalks.

You need to find a 30 inch head. After driving the thing for about a half hour you would be going nuts. Maintaining the head on the proper course to harvest corn is difficult enough without cutting down the room for error to zero. It would be a lot of work, but it would be possible to narrow a wide row but your best course of action would be to find a narrow row head.

It'd be a mess.  Besides not lining up, corn stalks will not feed right and I'd think you'd have more shelling at the head and ears flying of the stalk and out of the head onto the ground.  At today's prices, doesn't take much lost corn to purchase the proper head.  If an older machine, you won't have much invested. We use to plant with an 8 row and pick with a 6 row and that at times was a pain.
