D17 3pt hitch?

Here's the 3-point I built for my D-17.  I'm betting that by your description, yours has no rear lift... so you'd obviously need to do some things differently.

My suggestion, if you do, is NOT to use the stock lift system, particularly if your industrial already has a low-pressure/high volume hydraulic system... instead, build your own beefy lower end, and fit on double-acting cylinders to act on the lower lift arms.  This will solve you hydraulic headaches, as well as give you the capacity to use downpressure for scraper blades, etc.

Also, with that kind of brute force capacity, I wouldn't build the lower bracket like mine-  I used the four big bolts under the transaxle casting to bear draft and load... instead, for more beef, I'd distribute the load up around the axle tubes and at the snap-coupler draft point.

An industrial is a flat back and doesn't have a rear lift on it.

CMP-  if you were me, what you'd do is drain the rearend, take the plate off, and use it to make a template for a new plate, but larger, and incorporate mounts for a pair of double-acting implement cylinders, two lower lift arms, and one upper lift arm for a Category 1 or Category 2 3-point.

For controls, you'd use whatever 'live' hydraulic system was available, and pipe it to a multi-section valve to operate both your 3-point, and any other tools... i.e. loader, belly blade, etc.
