This 1944 John Deere B used to belong to John Gensterblum, one of Pewamo's early farmers. He bought it bran new in early '45 from a dealership that closed in the 70's. John Gave the tractor to my grandpa in late 2004 because he new it would be restored and taken care of. We worked nights on end to get it done before John died, sometimes we wouldn't get to sleep untill after 6:30 the next morning. John was the first to drive it when it was finished. Two weeks later, John went home.

NOTE: I was standing clrae of the PTO shaft. I lean my leg against the triangular shield for balance.

That's a touching story. When it boils right down to it the color of the tractor or the brand of the truck won't matter. It's what you do for others that really matters.
