How do I increase hyd pressure to a remote cylinder. Doesn't lift disk all the way up. Any adjustments that can be made to increase pressure? Thanks David

Pressure can be increased at the valve stack by adjusting the relief valve BUT, you have no business adjusting it unless you have a hyd gauge to verify if you even have a problem. I'm thinking 2000 to maybe 2200 psi. I remember years ago I had a customer with a 2 yr old 7020 tractor who called and demanded I fix the hydraulics on it cause it wouldn't lift his JD disc all the way to the top to install the safety pin. Upon testing of the 7020 there was nothing wrong with it and he insisted it was the tractors fault. Spying a 170 loader tractor, I asked how the hydraulics were on it and he replied "perfect". So, I said back it over here and raise the disc for me...........it raised it to the exact height of the 7020 !!!!! While he was stuttering and stammering I was greasing the axle pivots on the disc that were rusty and then the disc would lift just fine........

I'm wondering if your cylinder is bad. Did you try another hydraulic cylinder to see if that does the job? If it's going some of the way, it doesn't seem like it would be a problem with the tractor. We don't have a D19, but lots of other AC tractors so I'm guessing. Ground here north of Grand Rapids is way too wet & cold for disking yet. Good luck. Mitch & Barb in West Michigan

I have also seen hyd clyinders used that were to small of dia. to lift properly. Changed to larger dia. and they worked fine. Check equipment owner manual to see what cly is required for your equipment.

Had this problem last couple years with the 12' Disk and after 30 minutes of working the ground it will lift with no problem. Brought home a Duetz/Allis 385 corn planter yesterday and it will only lift part way. If I lift on the back of the planter it will slowly lift up all the way. I can make up a inline gauge to check the pressure today and see what it is. Had a problem years ago with WD45 and put a larger cylinder on it to sovle the problem, but would like to get this done whitout going to over size cylinders.

Not being smart, but did you check the fluid level?
