Hello, I am getting ready to put new tires on my D14. It has the original 13.6 x 26 tires on it now, but I'm considering putting on 14.9 x 26's. Anyone put this size on their D14? Whats your opinion??

Just got through doing exactly that, took off the old 13.6's and put on 14.9's. Haven't had a chance to use it, but I certainly don't foresee any adverse effects. Looks a little meaner, but nothing out of proportion looking. Darrel

I've got 14.9-26 on one, 13.2-26 on the other. Both work about the same in my nice soil. Both my D-14s have to earn their keep.

I'd like to have real 12-26s but can't afford them !!!! Got my 14.9s after a 'combine demo derby' at a fall fair at a real good price.

Darrel,  Can you please post some pics of the D14 with the larger tires?

Looks good if you raise fenders a couple inches or get a couple D15ll fender brackets. Fred

I have a 58 that has always had 14.9s on it since new.  A few weeks ago, I put new Firestone 14.9s on my 59 D14.  Used to have 13.6, but you know bigger is better ...

I don't do to good at posting pictures, but mine looks about the same as D Series4, right down to the fresh silver paint. Maybe I can talk my daughter into helping me, if she ever has a free minute. She is a pretty busy teen-aged girl. Darrel

Here is my Firestone 13.6 X 26's that I put on in the year 2002. Paid $300 each and $26 inner tubes. I think they have doubled in price.

Thanks everyone for your replies and pictures! I think I will go ahead and go for the 14.9's.
