I picked up my newest addition to the fleet, a 1956 WD45Diesel. All around, just a pretty nice old straight tractor. It runs fine, but pops a bit until it warms up. I think a good fluid/filter change along with giving it a workout might just solve that. If not, I think new injector tips will. I bought it from Adam Stratton, who is realted to the creator of this site, and also shirttale relation through my Granddad who was an AC dealer. Had a real nice tour of their place, got to see their toys. As many have said before, it is the people that make this obsession of ours fun. Thanks again Adam for the tractor and it was nice to finally meet you.

Here is a picture of my new WD45 Diesel. 1956 model, I hope to get a subsoiler hooked up to it to give it a workout. I plan to put a tricycle adapter on the bottom of the wide front.

Michael,
Are you wanting the tric adapter front specifically or would a normal narrow front work? I am looking for a wide front for a diesel and have access to a few diesel narrow fronts (standard).
Thanks
Adam

Adam, I have the diesel narrow front from my first diesel (which now has a wide front), but thought I would put the tricycle adapter on this one. I do have a diesel wide front that I might consider selling. Give me a call if you want to discuss a deal. Michael 816 898 7277. After 9:00 p.m. this evening will work. Michael

Michael, just curious what size of rear tires are on her 16.9x28's or 14.9x28's?

If you figure out the popping, let me know. My MD does the same thing. I'm going to keep hammering the Lucas oil to it and see if that helps. I have a bad steering bushing and a bad transmission bearing so I don't want to run it hard. I have a feeling it's a sticky injector or valve. I'm not sure. Changing the filters didn't help mine any.

They are 14.9s and they are old US Royal tires. I think the old girl has been pretty lazy the last few decades. In case anyone had any doubts, Michael is a real first class guy to deal with. I have "talked" to him for years on the forum, but it was our first face to face meeting, and it was definitely a pleasure.

Having met and dealt with both Adam and Michael, I can state for a fact that both are great people. I'm sure both are satisfied that they got a good deal and are full of respect for each other.
