Well my grandfather bought an AC-5050 and a couple implements for it when they came out, late 70's, early 80's I think. Implements were a 3 bottom plow, AC Discs, a John Deere hay rake, and a John Deere baler. We go up to pull the discs and I always thought they were JD discs cause they were painted green and yellow like all the other equipment. Come to find out, the discs say Allis Chalmers on them and the orange is bleeding through. I told my mom that we need to paint them back to AC orange this summer and she agreed cause that's what she had when they were younger!
Oh and the 3 bottom plow will be getting painted AC orange as well. Ruined my day, besides when I got to plow and disc a field though with the AC! |
