The subject of 7000 with mud hog hfa reminded me that I had some pictures of a 190 with some sort of hfa conversion on it. Thought I would share the pics. This tractor was on ebay a few years ago. Does anyone on here know anything or remember this tractor?

Thats a Levy Hydraulic front wheel assist. Oliver also used this style on some tractors. The hyd motor sat way out in front on them. I always wondered if the elusive FWA D-21 had this system on it. Sherry Schaffer from Heritage Iron and Oliver Heritage has lots of info on the system. Here is a pic of an Oliver that a local collector had at our fair
![]() ![]() ![]() I remember the one article said that if a switch failed on these, that when you would start the front end would move the tractor if not in the Neutral position EVEN if the clutch was pushed down. None the less, Pretty cool setup

Thanks, definatly looks like a levy system. I wonder how well it worked on that 190. That would be a neat one to have. I wonder if you are right that maybe allis used levy for there 10 hfa d21's. Its about the right era of that oliver. Of the one and only pic of the origional d21 you cant really see much except for the different grill. What is the story on gilgert vusts tractor?
