If you run her everyday, she will crank very easy. If you let her sit for more than one day, she will fire right up and run for about 60 sec. then shut down, have to prime her back up to get running. I am leaking fuel back to the tank, though I had a bad fuel filter but changed that and still does it.Is there a check valve in the filter holder? I have no visible leaks to the outside anywhere. |

My 220 started that a couple years ago after sitting over winter with #$!%* biodiesel in it.Used to sit all winter and fire right up in the spring. After the "wanna be" diesel you got to prime it after long sitting periods and that's with a full tank of fuel which is ABOVE the pump!

I had a 7040 that pretty much did the same thing. I repalced all the O rings in the fuel system. In doing that I noticed a fuel line going to the pump that had a spot rubbing but didnt have a hole, and wasnt leaking fuel. It was sucking just enough air to not let it run. I would check your O rings and fuel lines in the fuel system. I replaced the line and it runs like a top now.

Our 7060 did that replaced the lines even though they looked ok and the problem was gone. We had the same symptoms.

There is two check valves in hand primer. One of them may have trash in it. Take the primer off and screw it apart. There will be a check valve then spring then another check valve plus two orings. MACK
