I am looking for any ideas on determining the cause of excessive  whining noise from my 8050 when operating the hydraulic remote valves.  I have never put a pressure gauge on the system.   I haven't had any problems with lifting or operating Hyd. equipment.  The noise will be the greatest when I start applying pressure.  Then the noise goes down as I would fully apply flow to the valve.

Check routing of supply hose from pump to valve stack.  If it touches cab frame at any point it will sound very loud.
The innovators offer what others will imitate.

Seemed like on mine, that it quieted down when I set the stand-by pressure and high pressure to the high end of the spec. Don't even remember exactly how to do it anymore, but some one on here should be able to advise you. Come to think of it, I had the same results on my 7580, which is about the same hydraulic system.
