Went to an auction today near Vincennes, Indiana... interested in an 83' Allis Chalmers 8050 FWA (1217 hours)... one sharp tractor. I figured it was going to go higher than i was willing to pay... and it did...
It went for $44,000 or $45,000... i don't remember what they finished @...

Justin I was there. Ended up buying the 190. There were alot of things that went high,and alot of things that didnt bring as much as I thought they might. Be a long time before you see another sale like that. About every snap coupler tool there. Still had good paint with the stickers on them. That guy must have been very maticulouis with his equipment. The 200 look as if it had never had anything lifted with it. It had more hours then the tach. I would guess 3000 ,the 190 was just as nice with 3300 hrs.

D17 58' 2900.00
I talked to the auctioneer after the sale. The man that was selling out . Won the 8050 in a drawing in 1984 brand new.

Jack I was talking about that today after the sale. RT 155 would be close. I would say it would cost you 125,000.00. Not to bad when you look at it that way. But it was to nice of a tractor to take out and use. It was the only one I have seen with age on it,that the cab was as bright and shiny as the side panels. I would say it never sat outside in its life. There was a filter on it dated 2002- 1158hrs. It had 1217 on it today,59hrs in 9 years isnt wearing it out .

That is a pretty good return on investment 0 cost in 1984 and $44,500 sale price in 2011!
Of course he does have to pay the auctioneer, not to mention taxes. What would a person do with a "nearly new" 1984 tractor in that condition?

According to TractorData.com about $52,000 and it had 152 PTO HP.JP

Did you happen to write down the prices of the Snap Coupler Equip? I was going to go but didn't make it. Curious what some of it brought especially the hoe.

Cory I didnt write them down,but they all sold pretty high,but like I said before,find them in that condition. The disc brought 600 nices one I ever saw. 3 bottom plows 300 ,plus or minius. Rotary hoe somewhere around 300. AC pull behind sprayer 250. AC rotary mower,somewhere around 800. The 1500 disc chisel 3100. The AC danish tine cultivator 275. These are general give or take prices. The sprayer and disc chisel I know because I had next to last bid. I also run a AC umbrella to 100 but didnt get it.

Why do auctioneers, if there is a piece of JD equipment on the bill always post it first. This guys auction looks like the biggest percentage was AC equipment and they listed the John Deere first. It was quite apparent, that the 8050 would bring a lot more than that faded Deere, but they picture it first.

Terry I know what you mean. The 4430 wasnt even there. I was suprised that the 2 deeres there didnt bring more then they did. The A like 1700 and the 60 like 2200 if I remember right. It was an AC crowd.
