jb from md. That is a nice straight '45. It looks great in it's original patina. Leave the paint in the can!

Eddie, My great uncle had a loader like that for his 8N. About 25 years ago I went looking for his disc. I found the guy he had sold it to but he wasn't interested in selling it back to me. He did mention he would sell "that" and pointed to a pile of iron with weeds grown up all around and through it. It was the loader that used to belong to my Great Uncle. I drove away that day disgusted that I couldn't buy the disc back and never once gave a thought to brining home the loader. My rear end is still sore from kicking myself ever since, whenever the subject comes up. OUCH!! Anybody got a working time machine? LOL Charlie

I know that alot of you like the ones in thier original patina, but I really like them in a first class paint job, but I think it is a shame when they have to sit around in a shed doing nothing because the owner doesn't want to scratch it. So my vote is to make it look perfect and then take it out there and use it just as if you had gone down to the dealer in 1955 and bought a new one took it out to the farm and used it for everything you could imagine. Thats if I had enough money to do it. To me it would be so retro

Someone had already gotten to my D17D in the past. It's a series 1 but has series 4 decals on it, and it looks like they used a brush and just painted over the original decals, paint, and dirt. I was surprised at how much paint came off when I pressure washed it.
