	I'd look at the front end close for loose parts and check the insides of the front wheels for leaking wheel seals. I've got one thats an 83 model and it is amazingly dry for something it's age, the front hubs have been resealed but still leak occasionally. Mine is a powershift but I really like the tractor overall, it pulls like a locomotive.

	Yes check the front axle seals, mine started leaking and I ended up having seals and bearings, no bad shafts, but with labor it was around $3500. Mine is a power shift but I've owned 3 7060s and a 7080 with power directors and they are bullet proof.

	All in all I'd say it's not bad for the age. Checked the front end and couldn't see anything obviously wrong with it. Front tires need replaced. Rear inside tires have great tread, but have been turned too sharp into something and large chunks are missing out of the side of the tread. When we fired it up, there was a rather loud whine that was audible in the cab, thought it sounded like the hydraulics. Checked the level glasses and it was low. Helped a little when they filled it up, but it still whined more than our 8030, is that normal? Also when it was running, you could see bubbles in the level glasses, never noticed that with the 8030 but never really watched either. The interior is in good shape. Going to take little getting use to going from the PS 8030 to the PD on the 8050, but I think it will be fine once we get use to it. The right front lower small glass is shattered, anybody have a source for that, or just take it to the local glass shop and have one cut? Also when it got warmed up a little I opened it up to 2000 rpm and let it sit there. It was like it loaded up a little or something. Almost like you were square baling and ran a wad through, it would pull the tractor down about 100 rpm and then go right back up. Any ideas on that?

	For the front glass i would try cook tractor, i think they have 8000 series glass. For the bubbles in the level glass i cant really help much, my 7080 does the same thing.

	The whine can be a mis-routed hydraulic hose under the cab. I had to replace a couple on the RH side of the transmission on my 8010 and one was rubbing the under side of the cab. Intolerable noise in the cab until I moved the hose.
