Yup.
I put a CA narrow front on my C so I could add weigh in the front.

Dick L, or whoever replies first. Can I just put the part that Chris shows above on my tractor? I won't have the bulkhead that mounts to the engine with the bosses that a "CA" has. The previous owner ruined the spindles on mine, cut them off short, then welded another axle on below, which raises the front about 1-1/2". I am unsure how they oriented it for toe-in, ect. and it is not centered. I believe this has some to do with why my tractor has the violent headshake I asked about previously. Chris has offered me his if it will work.

cmsmoke, Can you post a picture of your front end? It may help determine you predicament. Sounds like it should bolt right up [unless your front support is messed up] I cannot remember just how the front support is set-up in a "C".

Yes the front support from a CA will bolt to a C front bolster. I have changed them. Check the Spindle top gear you will have to adjust the shims for the correct end play.

Chris, It looks just like yours, I am assuming there is a plug up top on the underside not shown. I just wonder if the bolt circle to mount it and the height are the same. I don't have mine off right now, as I'm using it, but can post a picture of the mess this evening. I will take some measurements of the bolt centers and the length of the pedestal as well.
Thanks

Thanks, Dakota Dave. I need to check the parts book for the correct terminology (mine is probably off), but it sounds like it will work. I understand the backlash and shimming, since it will go on a different tractor. Good point! Once this is done I'm moving on to the steering box.

Here is my front. You can see that another axle was welded underneath and the origonal spindle stubs cut off. The wheels have different offsets as well (1 is newer, 1 is origonal). I used a spacer that makes them more alike for temporary. I will get another wheel that matches one of the ones I have shortly. This is not a terrible repair, it has been this way for years, but it is not right and doesn't work in high gear for road travel. The bolts are on 4" centers, as near as I can measure with it together and the length of the pedestal is 11-3/4" with the tape resting on the pedestal. I didn't put a square to it just measured it on the bias.

Sorry Guys, I was in a hurry and couldn't figure how to get them smaller. I'll work on that for the next time!

I just checked the part numbers for the pictured narrow front assemblys for a C and a CA. They are the same part numbers in every detail. Go for it
