Just put two 1000 CCA in my bosses 7000 this morning, I am a firm believer that you can't have to much battery.

I just got 2 850cca batterys for my 7060. The more battery the better but if you run 4 of them instead of 2 it costs twice as much to replace them when the time comes.

Original issue was Group 29H with a rating of only 660 CCA. 2 were standard, 4 was the cold climate upgrade option.  Bill

So one 1000 CCA is almost equal to the original equipment, wow I was thinking two 1000 CCA was only a little better than factory.

I,ve heard if you dont have enough battery power it,ll ruin the starter ? Would have thought it,d take more than 2- 650 amp batterys  from the factory but maybe not

I have 4 750CCA in my 7060, 4 700CCA in my 7040, and 2 850CCA in my 7080. The 7060 will start at 0 all by itself, the 7040 (with atleast 8year old batteries and 9300 original hours) will start at 35 by itself, and the 7080 will start at 40 by itself (fresh motor and old batteries). Dr Allis bigger is not always better with batteries, the more CCA you get outa the same size batteries will not last. They make the plates thinner and they will not hold up to the vibration of the tractor. Dad has a WD45 and would always put 850-1000CCA batteries in it, they wouldnt last  but about 2 years. Hes put 650CCAs in it and they have lasted close to 10 years. The battery man suggested going with lower CCA for longevity. The thicker plates will hold up better.
