Today I made arrangements to add G3112 to my stable of G's.  It has stock front hydraulics with the PTO.  The mower is a Sun-Mastr.  The G is currently in Illinois and will be brought south to Georgia in the near future.

The fellow I bought the G from was kind enough to show me the car as well.  He said that he had "always wanted a '55" and he had gotten it not that long ago.

Very nice fellow - the town was Huttonsville, IL - population about 600.  Located just across the Wabash river from Indiana about 30 miles north of where I grew up.

Best regards,

Scott

Scott,  CONGRATULAIONS!!  I would say be careful cause they can get habit forming but I do think I'm too late.
The G's we sold were mainly cultivating tractors.  When the Woods mower came out we started selling them to mount on the G's for another use.  I still remember one being mounted on a G and after the customer brought it back said WOW!! I'll cut my lawn with this.
Tried to sell him  a new one since they did not cost all that much new - bout a Grand with lifting attachments and perhaps a woods mower.  No, he said he would use his cultivating G.
Good Luck!

Bill,

Well my spouse would say you're way too late...  I'm pretty sure I don't have a problem.  I can quite any time.  Ha!

The fellow that I bought it from said he had owned it for about 15 years.  He had cleaned it up and had the engine overhauled professionally 5 years ago.  Apparently the county had bought it new to use for some mowing projects they had.  When it was replaced by updated equipment it sat in a county shed for several years.

It's the first hydraulic model I've seen in southern Indiana/Illinois.  That in itself was unusual - also it appears that it was orignally purchased specifically for mowing - unlike probably 99% of the G's in this part of the world that were bought for cultivating melons.

Best regards,

Scott
