i hate winter. part of the tractor shed collapsed a couple of weeks ago in the last ice/rain event. main beam was two 2x10, 20 ft long, bolted together. snapped. believe it or not though, the only damage i've seen so far is the tank on the ca and the steering tube on the 39 b. good thing i never got around to cleaning out under there and putting a couple more tractors underneath. |

Alan, I'm feeling your pain, had a plastic building implode same way, minor dent in 416 tractor, work involved in cleaning up, re-building is a hassle you don't need. Good luck on the repairs.

Alan, Sorry for your mess. I raked and shoveled 2 1/2 feet of heavy snow off one side of my 24 x 36 pole barn a couple of weeks ago. The snow has always slid off the steel roof but drifted heavy on one side this winter.
By the way, I just fabricated a new steering tube for my G from 1 1/2" ID steel conduit. They call it 1 1/4" "trade size". It came out well after I sanded off the galvanizing. Bob@allisdowneast |

Glad there was any worse damage. Looks like it could be a pain to clean up. I guess you can run the CA in the shed now without worrying about the fumes. LOL

Hey Alan, that's not so good. At least no was hurt.
I have tractors in 3 canvas portable garages and I thought that I might lose 1 on this last snow, rain, ice event, but got lucky, they all survived.
Hope to see you in Florida, Bob

Thats a shame. There's two old sheds at my dads farm that have been there for 70+ years that refuse to fall down. Last time i was out at the farm i asked him if he ever intended to take them down and he said why work that hard to do something mother nature will probly do in a few minutes some day.
