How much oil pressure is a WD supposed to have?  Right now I have 10/30 in it and the pressure just reaches the N in Normal.  The oil filter is on correctly, it could probably use a rebuild, but I'd likie to put it off until this fall.  I ran straight 30 wt last summer and the pressure still was not up that high.  Will a WD45 pump work, higher volume?  Anything I can do short of a rebuild?

That is probably average oil pressure for any of the early "bypass" Allis engines. If you have decent compression and it is even across all cylinders, a rebuild probably won't get you much but a lighter wallet. I don't think there is any difference in a 45 pump. There were hundreds of thousands of these engines built and they have been running on 5-10psi oil pressure for 50 to 70 years.

If it's reading up to the "N" when it's fully warmed up, it's not too bad.
In my experience, I've found that straight 30W will "jack" it up some.
I have a WD-45 on which the needle barely gets off the pin when it's warmed up.
Been that way a long time. I only use it for mowing and would be hesitant to use it for plowing or dragging.

My manual for a wd45 says 10 is normal.

you can check the spring and plunger for the relief valve, big nut on right side of block. Usually not a problem but i have found the plunger stuck and washers placed under the spring.  you can experiment with one washer under the spring and if it helps replace the spring part #70229181. Make sure the plunger isnt scored and moves free, this will not  fix low oil pressure if there are other problems but is worth checking on these older engines. good luck
