I think it needs bigger tires up front and a driveshaft to turn the front wheels. LOL

Well, the golf cart was free, rusted in two - use to be electric but something was funky in the electric part. The quad was totaled by the neighbors grandaughter, no one hurt. It was free. Well, got a 4' wide X 5' long dump bed made - now I got a 50 mph yard tool - think it needs to be painted AC Orange. It is a Honda Rear and a Yamaha front - painted Orange, doe smake it a, Allis Yamda or Honmaha Chalmers?

"Dayama Dumper" It's the tail end of the Honda and the front end of a Yamaha. Or 'Yamada Dumper" would be the front end of Yamaha and tail end of Honda. Paint it ORANGE so it will be easily seen if you have to cross the road.

I'd like to suggest making a battery tray under the seat that'll hold a couple of good car batteries to power the lift you're making for it.
and a couple more 'drink holders ' too !! lol

The surprise is on me. I thought since we were this close to Valentine's Day, we might expect something with a little more "romance".

Dayama Dumper - real GOOD
Drink Holders - strap in the 50 Gal cooler in the front of the bed. Reachable from the seat and keeps it Cold!
Have not gotten into to it but the rear end has a differential - turning should be ok.
Tell me more on the lift idea - got room for the battery and stuff.

I think it is going to be real useful around the house - yard work, leaves, stacking wood by the door. spreading mulch. On a farm even more useful. The 50 mph top end woo hoo. The dump bed is 4'w X 5'long - a friend helping has a Polaris - one of his great inputs was, put the bed pivot in front of the pivot point. This is nearly balanced. I got $00.00 in both vehicles.

Get you a 2000 or 2500 lb winch and rig it to dump the box when needed but also make the winch available to pull you out if you get stuck or help drag something up into the box, deer etc. Later when you move North, you could rig a snowplow to the front and use the winch to lift it. LOL
A little experimental engineering might allow the winch to be anchored in one place. I would probably consider at least 2 different mounts, maybe a small receiver hitch. |

I agree with getting the front up a little higher... thinkin' that probably has 18-8.50-8 tires on it, if so, at least 20-10.00-8s.
Also concerned about the bending moment on frame rails immediately behind the seat... the quad didn't support a large amount of weight that way... and with a load in that bed, the quad would be squatted-out really quick... |

Looks good. Need to remember to lower the dump bed before you go under the clothes lines tho.

I bet it WON'T do 50mph. But I'd like to see you try. LOL
I would also have concerns of it bending/breaking where it attaches to the frame of the quad. I'd be thinking of gussets and lots of cross bracing at that point. Cool project. Keep us posted.
