Austin -- that is great!! I have an AC60. After watching the video (during our ice storm) I am looking forward to doing this year's wheat. Old girl just loves getting out there and working (me too). |

I have this tape at home but can't resist watching it again. You can sure fine tune an All Crop. My Uncle Verlyn used to get combining jobs from a couple of farmers who owned John Deere combines because in clover and flax he could do a much better job and save them money. Once in a real heavy oat crop his John Deere neighbor (Wilford Wilson) hired him because his 60 and Deere combine wasn't able to take in such a large windrow. It was a big job even for the All Crop but my Uncle had something that Wilford didn't have and that was a WD with an oil cushioned hand clutch. (I wouldn't recommend this) Uncle Verlyn tied the hand clutch so it would slip some to slow the tractor down and it worked. He had that tractor for many years after that. I'd have to ask but that WD might still be on the farm.
One thing the operator in the film forgot to do after he set the sieves............bump his head on the discharge hood.

Awesome video! I will have to put a link on my website.
I did notice a little fibbing....guy puts in the finishing screen without bolting it on.
No mention of the shelling plate clearance adjustment.
Really neat to see in color a "new" machine
