I'm not polished at posting pics but here goes ![]() ![]() The base had 2 straight down fittings from the ser 4 but the inside port couldn't go down and then forward to the block because of steering shaft so I switched ends around (90deg VS straight) and got the combination with the addition of a short coupled 90 to use in the upper hole on block because the factory 90 had too much "swing" and hit the old pressure reg housing. The outer pipe on filter hsg is original but I had to take about 3/8in off each end to get the fit.The inner pipe got the bend reversed on the block end to aim it where it needed.Kinda tricky with the old hand bender but not impossible.Had a new piece of 1/4 brake line for making new but didn't need it.

I used a full-flow pump from an E gleaner cause the donor tractor that I got the base and lines/fittings etc wouldn't let go of the pump. This pump has the pressure reg built in.Should've took pics of proceedures(drilling, tapping, plugging)but I didn't.

Steve, Y ou did fine posting them pics, I was hoping for just one or two but NINE, that was really just fine.
Was planning on doing something like that when I take apart my early D17 engine.
That was Great! Guess now you can ebay the other parts and get some cash back maybe.

is that line going back past the PS pump for a remote oil gauge? if not what kind of gauge setup do you have?

The part of the conversion unseen is the drilling, tapping and plugging that goes on inside the block before all the outside stuff can be attached. Also getting the correct oil pump and drive gear on the top of the oil pump is crucial to success of the changeover.

Bill; That is for the oil pressure guage. You can't see around a factory PS gear to see an original guage. The TB guage didn't work so I staitened out the line and used it for oil pressure guage which is mounted in place of the TB guage. That was 30 yrs ago.Today I would not have molested the "original" TB feed line, but I have a different perspective now.
