I would like to put a wide front end from an early model D17 on a D15 seriesII that has a narrow front end. Are these interchageable? Thanks, Gerald

Sortof yes and sort of no, what I mean by that is that some parts do interchange and some don't. The casting that you bolt to the bottom of the bolster should bolt up. there are alot of different part numbers for a D17, through the series. The problem comes in when you go to put the wide front part on itself. I dont think you can bolt the wisbone part on without modification, and the spindles are taller I believe. With that being said, if I couldn't find the right one, it could be done with some work. How do you like that answer. PS one thing about me is I am a machinist, toolmaker so I always say "never say never. HTH
