So I took a ride up past our old farm to talk to the next farm up....they had all AC's when I was young. Well that didnt pan out....his father sold off all the old AC stuff before he died about 3 years ago. Well heading down the hollow I stopped where an old OC3 crawler has been poking out of for years....well I forgot there is a WD right behind it....it has a 2 or 3 bottom and cultivators with it....both where bought brand new by the present owners father in law who I remember from when I was a kid....real nice guy he was.....well he wants to sell but his wife and grandson dont but he asked for my number and said he'd talk to them and let me know.....they're both surface rusty but I wouldnt restore either.....too much history and too original to mess with....sorry no pics, my phone was nearly dead.....I have a good idea of value of the WD....any ideas on the OC3? the teeth on the sprockets are still sharp, tracks tight....I bet it doesnt have 800 hours on it and this guy never worked anything hard.

You should try giving Zimmerman Oliver-Cletrac a call. They are in Epharta, PA and their number is 717-738-2573. They know alot about those crawlers. |

if the sprokets are sharp, there getting wore out. They should have apronounced flat on top the tooth. Does it have a blade, loader, aux tranny, how wide is it,pto, etc. These are all important for value. I sold a non running OC3-46 with a loader, aux tranny, pto, and wore undercarriage for 2600.00

thats what I meant by sharp...that have an inch or more of flat spot at the ends....its a green OC3, not yellow, wide track....had a factory bucket but the guy used it once, lifted the back off the ground and took it off so he let it set for 40 years and gave it away.....has a belt pulley on the back, dont believe it has the auxillary trans but Im not sure....Im just getting an interest in these Oliver Crawlers....Id love an AC crawler but they are too damn big for me to keep anywhere lol

I assume this(OC3-46) is a typo. OC-3 has three roller track frame and OC-4 and 46 have 4 roll frame. I bought an OC-46 about 7 years ago for $750 and paid $100 for a parts tractor(tracks, undercarriage, tranny and differential). The engine was stuck but I got it running, then disassembled the parts tractor of the steering clutches needed to fix the complete tractor. It's all on my to do list now cause the new head gasket let go and I haven't been able to work on heavy stuff since my accident. Mine has an aux tranny but I don't know if it is a reverser or an under drive. There is no shifter lever for it either. |

Benny my comment was about Larry's posting of an OC3-46. There is no such animal that I know of. There are OC3's OC4's and OC46's No OC3-46. The OC4 with a 46 inch wide track and a loader is an OC46.

That one looks like it has the dozer type grousers, whatever you call them but with a rubber pad added. My parts OC46 has a shorter ones for a loader but has bolt holes in them so you could bolt the rubber pads on. I think they might be for bolting on an ice attachment or something.
I would really like to have that PTO attachment. I would put steel wheels on my JD 5ft rotary mower and make some new paths out where I deer hunt. I wouldn't have to worry about thorns in the tires that way.
