I was combining corn last night and when I went to start the combine this morning found the exhaust manifold cracked on the port closest to the flywheel end of the engine.  Is this common?  What should I look for that may have caused this, is there a clamp or support that could be broke or missing?  Where would I find a used manifold?

Well,I was bush hoggin with my uncle's 7020 (same manifold) and stopped for supper.Hadn't been working it hard at all (pasture) so I just throttled it down for a bit then shut if off and started walking accross the way to the house.I got about 30ft away an BANG!!! WTF!! Went back for a look and the manifold was broke btween the back and middle ports. Probably what happened to yours in some fashion. Heat/cool,odd shapes....stress point waiting to happen.

Nothing unusual.  Just heating/cooling for too many years.  Not too expensive from AGCO dealer or aftermarket.  I wouldn't fool with trying to take a used one off and then put it back on and hoping it doesn't already have a small crack.  Your labor will cost more than just using a new one to begin with.

Thanks.  I have found a new one for what I was hoping I could find a good used one for.  They even have one in stock (that about told me it was a fairly common problem).
