I'v been trying to identify my Allis 7' disc. It is simliar to the #8 but dosn't have the drop down tongue and the #10 tongue is similar but the rear gang brace seems to be different with mine being U shaped in front of the gang. I am referencing photos in the Ag Catalog 35, The Allis Chalmers Story and Swiford's book but haven't found anything exactly like what I have as far as I can see. I don't have any adjusting lever/screw and it is a bear to get set. It does have an 8" level for each gang attached to a plug to set the gangs either straight of angled.
I'd like to know what model it is and if it origionally had an adjusting lever or if it is designed to adjust by lifting the short levels and simply backing or pulling the macinde forward? Any help is much appreciated! KenB
