Who has the best complete engine kit available for a B? I got mine in the shop here on my 2 weeks off and am going to start ripping and tearing. The engine is stuck and from what my dad said the last time he remembers it running it was tired and needed a valve job bad. So what i'm looking for is a complete rebuild kit with new valves and the works. I have looked around and see some here and there. Also see some on ebay but not really sure that is the way to go. How is Agco's rebuild kit price wise? Just looking for options. Thanks

Dick

Check out those that sponsor this website under the parts section.   I've used all of them at some time or another.
Thanks

I vote for Sandy Lake. Brenda and Betty can get you fixed up.

Don't forget Tony C in Oregon. He offers some nice engine kits and is also a sponsor here.

I wouldn't buy a kit with valves unless I had the machinery to grind the seats. If you take the head to a machine shop with your own valves you will more than likely get to buy the valves in the price of the job and give yours away to them.
I have ground a fair amount of valves over the years and I always spark out a new valve on my valve grinding machine. If it was in need of a valve job when last run it more than likely needs new valve guides as well.

Thanks guys. I'll get this thing apart and see exactly what I need.

Dick L, I agree with ya there. It will more than likely need the guides also.
