Hi All, I have a question, where to put the decals that go on a WD45.  I have looked at so many pictures trying to find the original spots and to no avail.  What say you?  Where do these go?  And Thanks ahead of time, Ted

Thanks Again...

Don't know em all. Wiring diagrahm is on inside of left side battery box. "Lever down" goes on the bottom left horizontal piece of the throttle/hyd quadrant. Tire sticker goes on rear wheel centers. U-joint....top side frame rail next to steering joint. No shutters on WD45...throw away.

Thanks, That helps a little.  I don't know about the others.  The Power Crater or the Snap Coupler.  I have never seen them on a tractor, but they are in the 'Original' set.  Would take the brain of some of the oldest people on here.  Someone that might have worked at Allis when and where they were put on.

I have a book named "Original Allis-Chalmers" which has a lot of detailed information about the correct detailing of tractors, including the placement of decals.

I don't have it with me because I'm at work, but if you happen to have access to this book, it will help. If you don't want to buy it, perhaps it is available through your public library.

I can give you specific spots they go. I'll have to look at my tractor first, be right back.

The fill battery decal goes on the outside of the left side of battery box. About 1 inch or so from the top and centered front to back. The electrical diagram decal goes on the inside of the top battery box cover. Keep lever down goes on the little flat area on the quadrants left side by the hydraulic lever. Power Crater goes on the left side, lower rear of the engine block (going from memory on the power crater as my WD doesn't have that one). The Snap Coupler goes on the left side of the Snap Coupler bell under the tractor situated on the top half and somewhat centered. The tire one (there should be 2) go on each left wheel anywhere on the smooth face of the rim and somewhat centered. The grease joint goes on the steering shaft itself with the decal  starting about even with the top of side frame and going up from there running lengthways on the shaft. And the shutters one goes about 1 inch below the hole for the shutter control handle on the front right side of the grill shell and centered with the hole. If your 45 didn't come with a distillate engine then you won't have this hole I believe. Hope I made sense. Here are pictures

This is the battery fill
This shows the inside of the battery lid w/ electrical diagram

This is where I believe the power crater goes

I forgot to get a picture of the snap couple but I think my description show work

Front left wheel

I couldn't get a good shot of the rear left but this is where it goes if this were the left wheel

Here are some others

This is supposed to be centered on the box but in an original film I spotted one that was off center so I put it off center to copy the one on the film

this is the patent numbers on the right hand side under fuel tank

I was out in the shed a while ago and actually looked at my 45.It is original. The wiring dia on it is on the OUTSIDE of the lft side battery box in the upper lft corner with about a 1/4 in gap to edges.(I thought it was on the inside) The add water sticker is on top of the ammeter box centered and positioned to be read from seat. T/B sticker as posted above. No other stickers left besides name and WD45.Dad's WD has some of the others but he repainted it twice so I can't vouch for their correctness.

The power crater engine decal goes on the engine block in front of the carb about where the drain cock is, the snap coupler decal was put right on the front left of the bell, so that you could acually see it from the left side of the tractor walking up to get on it. HTH

does anybody know if the CA's wiring diagram decal was in a different spot? my CA has it under the batter box lid. As far as I know it's original. however, my great grandfather passed away after I was born so I have no help from the owner.
