Does anyone have any surplus set screws and jam nuts for sale? Or recommend a source for new. I need a couple for the brake pedals and one of the small ones for the foot clutch pedal adjustment. Thanks in advance
Jeff

The little one can probably be had from places like McMaster-Carr www.mcmaster.com providing a cup point works. The big one still has a valid AC number and dealers witih AC parts have them, something like $31 each last I checked by part number. And that dealer at Marshaltown actually had one in stock.

The pointed ones for the starter (the same?) come up on e-pay regularly.

$31 dollars, holly setscrew batman, I'm glad I have a usable lathe out in the shed. I could turn that taper in a couple minutes.

My post back in August said:
I saw a few of those at Marshalltown at the Mid-Iowa Antique Power Association Show. Most had hex heads, looked like about 11/16", maybe 5/8" with thin but large lock nuts. A couple had screwdriver slots, as if they were conventional set screws used as replacements. I didn't get to see the taper. I visited the Central Iowa Farm Store at Marshalltown after lunch and asked about those set screws. They have ONE in stock part number 207872 for $39.48. I should have asked, "Is that for a box of ten or 25?" I wished I had a dial caliper with me to measure that sample. To which Ray posted:

The ones with the screwdriver slots were originally used to locate and retain the starter.
