I have a new job driving in the US again. I was lost in GA yesterday and think I saw a B in a front yard on RT 15. It was just north of RT 15 and 24-88 intersection in Sandersville. Looked like it had rear weights, and had not run in a while. If anyonre is close they might want to have a look at it. This new job will take me into BASF in McItyre GA on a regular basis.

Was there, by any chance, a boy sitting on a bridge nearby, playing a banjo?

I am pretty sure you are talking about the tractor about 4.5 miles out on Hwy 15 North. Its on the right hand side if you are coming into Sandersville. I believe it is a B Allis Chalmers like you said. If it is the one I am thinking of then it is in front of a house that sits below road level. That particular tractor has been there for twenty or thirty years without moving.

There was an Allis dealer in Sandersville, he closed in the early 70's. He still had some old tractors and junk on the yard for years after that.  What route are you traveling to McRae? I am about 60 mi west of Sandersville.  Sam T-Ga.

That was my uncle and dad that ran the dealership. It was out on Hwy 242 just out of town.

The tractor in my avatar was one they sold. I restored it several years ago with my dad. We have a 185 we are going to restore now.

Rogers;
That is the tractor I am talking about.
Sam T;
I take I75 down to Macon and across to McIntyre. Do you guys know of any good 91 or older Chev or GMC 3+3 4x4 trucks around your neck of the woods.
