This question has probably been asked a hundred times on various tractors, but here goes again for the 101th time. What is the most likely fix for lift arms settleing on a D 15? Had a sickle mower hooked up to it with a single acting cylinder for the sickle lift, and that settled as well, only takes about 30 seconds to settle, Thanks in advance, Darrel

Could be valve not closing properly.Does your tranny oil overflow at all? If so, it will be cylinder leaking or hose. HTH Tracy Martin

Leaking hose inside the rear end was our problem with the D15.

Thanks guys. I think I'll check fluids in the morning, and I am sure that I'll find the hydraulic oil low, and the tranny or rear end oil  over full, because I topped off the hydraulics today, and and it wasn't long before the arms and the sickle wouldn't raise any more, as if no hydraulic oil. Next question; how to find a leaky (hopefully just a hose) in the rear end? Darrel

Darrell, Must take off the rockshaft housing. You will need a lift of some kind if you do it yourself without help. Makes it easier with a hoist or cherry picker. I would purchase new packing, new hose and o-ring for cylinder anchor pin, and housing gasket. Not that hard of a job. Just messy. When installing the hose don't twist it while installing it. It may cause it to rub housing or pto shaft. There is a strip made on them to make installation easier by visual inspection. HTH Tracy Martin
