I have a leak between the radiator tank and where the top radiator hose hooks up. It looks like the manifold part is rivited to the tank and has a gaskit inbetween. does anyone have a good fix for this?

It is rivited and soldered. Take it to a professional .The cast inlet takes a lot to heat to get to soldering temps, if your not skilled you will loosen a lot surrounding joints such as the tank to the header, creating more work.

I don't even mess with them anymore, the local radiator guy cleans, tests and fixes most of them for $25- $35. Don't know if all shops are that reasonable or not.

I will take it to a good radiator shop and get it fixed right. Last weekend I hooked up a plastic gas tank and cleaned up a fm 4 mag I had and it started on the second pull of the crank. I never had to clean the carb because it had been drained and it sat 30+ years.
