They seem to be able to spell the rest of the ad correctly and even the right puctuation, but cant read the metal plate on the side of the hood. Is it a D14.

Looks like a D10 or D12

....update, it is a D12, also not a Series III.

I requested more pictures.

This tractor is pre-Series III so it would be a four speed.  The range transmission was an option on the Series III.

The loader appears to be a Model 100A.  The factory grille guard is a nice bonus too.  Overall, it looks like a nice, straight unit based on the pictures.

Shorter fenders, throttle lever location, steering wheel position, round muffler (although mufflers can be changed), and three-point adjustment crank style all point to Pre-Series III.

You know it wouldn't be too bad if it didn't say ALLIS-CHALMERS in big letters on the tractor and the loader.

The guy took a close up picture of the decal that clearly says "Allis Chalmers", you'd think he would be able to spell it right!  That tractor is not too far from me though.  Should go look at it...

There was another Alice-Chalmers for sale on my local Craigslist last week.  It was an Alice-Chalmers WD54.
