the tach on my 8050 quit now, i want to make sure its the sensor and not the tach. if i test the wires that go to the sensor they both read 3,5 volts. what should they read? if i apply voltage to the wires with my power probe the tach needle goes up all the way, wich tells me that the tach is working. is it possible to ohm out the sensor or not if so what should they be? dealer wants  $265 for the sensor . he said he has only sold two in the past  eight years according to his records, what else should i look for? as always thanks in advance....Jb

The pickup unit is a common item,  I bought an isspro one for about 40 bucks for my 8070, Pretty sure it is 3/4 fine thread.
