I need to know what the factory rear tire size is of a wd-45. I don't have mine close and am looking for snow chains for it. I have found info that lists 3 different sizes. Thanks again. Mike

12X28 was stock with 11X28 option. I think the guys who know more say a 12X28 converts to 13.4X28 in todays sizes.

Most true WD45's had 12-28's (13.6 x 28) or the optional 13-28 (14.9 x 28) on them....usually WD's had the 11 x 28 (12.4 x 28).

To be sure you have to look at your tires. With the factory picking two or three different sizes and users going bigger later, you might not get the tire chains to fit without extensions on the chains.

I grew up around WD-45s and most in Northcentral In. had 14.9x28 on them and only the very early 45s had the13.6. Dad also got a 1948WD and it had 11x28 and the 1950 had 12x28s or 13.6 on it.

The chains I took off are 10ftx2ft +- The set I bought are 12fx2ft so I should be in good shape. If anyone needs a set of road chains that's what I took off. I needed more aggresive chains. Thanks again for the help. Mike
