Not even close to AC, but it sure is good news for a change. 32 more to go plus the 2 EMT's that went down to check them out.

Yeah, I am watching it too.
It brought tears to my eyes seeing the young fella crying while he waited on his father (first miner) to come up.
The second guy struck me a little strange as he paid more attention on the president and the workers then on his wife.
It is really good to see them all coming up safely.
Heading off to bed now but will be checking first thing in the am to see where they stand on getting them out.

I bet they will all act a little strange, probably a few for the rest of their lives. I spent 40 days on a large navy ship and almost went nuts from being crammed on a fairly large boat with nowhere to go. I couldn't imagine spending months in a dark mine with crappy food, the heat, and worse of all, no way to get away from my coworkers.

Looks like 15 of them rescued now! That would be a long couple of months that is for sure

Yes, my hat is off to them. They are coming out in a lot better shape then I expected. I am glad to see a happy ending. They are some tough men.

They just showed "Old Glory" flying along with all the other flags on the mountain top. I also noticed a Lincoln portable welder welding the casing the other day. Maybe there is some A-C equipment being used with the hoist or other equipment. They are sure some lucky guys !

Most mining holes are air drilled. Possibly air equipment from Allis Chalmers Energy could have been used.
Precision Drilling out of Canada who I used to work for was drilling one of the holes but were not the first ones to break through. They are a good company.

Saw in the paper that the bit was built in Pa and delivered to the mine by FedEx in 48 hr. weight was something like 24,000 lb. about a plane load. The drill operator is from Colorado and had been in Afghanistan, drilling water wells for the US Army. Two days later he is in Chile. Looked like a happy guy tonight as the last medic came out of the hole. I understand you can get a real deal on a Chevy pickup and a Cat 966 loader there, it's only 2700 feet away!
